T5000 Alarm Advice

Hope this can be of help to someone out there.The story starts with me having my car keys stolen along with remote key fob.This left me with no spare.Big problem as Toyota dont supply the T5000 alarms anymore and they informed me that Scorpion,who manufactured these alarms, went bust about two years ago.True,but as I discovered,they still do exist.I contacted their remote dept (01257 249928) and spoke to Tony.Brilliant guy,very helpful.Apparently, if I could get hold of a couple of remotes off eBay and send them with my remaining fob,along with the alarm ecu (situated behind glovebox) they can reprogramme the alarm for £32.89 (including vat and p&p).I had to get an auto electricion to remove ecu as it needs bypassing to stop immobiliser cutting in.(1 hours labour)All in all it's cost me about £100.So all is not lost, as I thought at the time.
