Anyone Work With Carbon Fibre?

Okay peeps .. I've got all the bits I need now, but I have an issue.

The feet of the spoiler are flat. The boot lid is slightly curved.

I was thinking of a rubber stopper (like a big door stop) under the feet, but a few issues, where to get the rubber? How to cut it to shape? etc. etc.

Any one else got any ideas .. I'm looking at one side being flat on the lid, one corner being a few mm and the other corner being about 10mm ..

(cheers for the quick convo last night Paul, it helped me understand a few bits and bobs)

Was thinking some type of rubber matting.

Was thinking some type of rubber matting.

If you want a spacer 13mm think perhaps polycarbonate might be a better material, as the rubber might compress under load and cause the bolts to chafe the carbon.

Need to find a plastics factory nearby and you could probably find a few suitable bits in the offcuts bin. Should be easy to work with, but it might take a bit of time to get it exactly flush to the boot.

Paul.
