i have the same thing happen to me.. but it's when i drive on long rds above 50mph. it stinks in the cabin but i don't know what the smell is. it smells like burning rubber, or clutch but the clutch is fine. (handbrake on try and drive).

any ideas?

It`s not the cats getting hot and burning off the accumulated crud is it? They do get damn hot after a blast.

I had a burning smell coming through into the cab from the engine bay when i investigated it i found there was a small patch of burnt oil on some of the exhaust shrouding that had come from missing the hole when topping up the oil, then later on from a small oil leak i am still yet to find the source of. have a quick peek round the exhaust where it runs under the engine and look for dark burnt oil patches on it.
