Hi

Of lately the fan intermitently works.

Last night when I popped out it was working, this afternoon its not. Once it's on it's ok for the duration of the journey. It seems to be when the car is left overnight the problem occurs.

If I slide to OFF and then to LOW I can hear and feel the click from the fuse box. Big black box thingy headed under HTR.

Any ideas on this one.

cheers Andy

Now this is getting wierd!!

On Sunday the fan just will not work. Monday morning, freezing cold, ice on windscreen, the fan worked. Turned engine off, after warming up, and 20 minutes later when I went to work the fans not working.

Tuesday morning ok but not working in afternoon.

Do I need to see an auto electrician?

hi there,

i've just joined the club and some pretty familiar problems are appearing which i encountered on my old townace. I exerienced a similar problem and the fault was in the relay connection assy. the two main feeds to the relay coil were burning out and tested it by putting a switch in the fan feed from the relay assy and this cured the problem except the fan kept on running when the engine was off, so a new relay connector assy was fitted with no further problems. i might be to late but i hope it helps.
