Looking to supercharge the little monkey. Need advice from people who know about it or have done it, such as what extra parts are required afterwards. Hope you can all help. Cheers

Haven't done it myself but TTE do one.

Check my reply to the induction kit poll for a web link to TDi who fit them.

TTE as good as blitz just you heard of blitz more :P But yeah if you go germany they fit TTE with warranty! But blitz you need seperate ECU management of fueling etc! That all involves rolling road time etc. Kimi on here is only one running a TTE supercharger. Quite a few are going down the custom turbo route tho!

both supercharger systems will make you around 140ish bhp and cost around 3 grand

id be more tempted to go turbo and spend around 1800 quid and get around 150, with a better basis for furthar improvement ;)

I was speaking to Envy today and if i go downthe turbo route id be looking to spend £6k in total to get the whole job done but will have around 300bhp. I want a Blitz supercharger and intercooler but the blitz kit does not work with UK spec cars, only on Jap imports. So unless im able to get £6k, which is possible, then i have to go down the TTE road and i just think TTE is cack. No intercooler, nothing. I really need Yaris WRC's input as he is the bees nees when this comes along. Thanks for the help guys and keep it coming along with all your opinions which are important to me in this. The other option is going down the N/A road in which case i need Earlp's input more. Also, was wondering what internals you can get for the engine as i cant find any anywhere. Cheers guys.

you havnt got to pay 6k in a lump sum  thats for the ultimate level if you will, you can always start small and build up to those dizzy heights

As far as i'm aware the Blitz one doesn't come with an intercooler normally either, so they must be just as cack as TTE if that's what you're basing your thoughts on

Yeah im pretty sure its just because all the pics for Blitz supercharger show same pic with intercooler and everything but i think thats it all tuned up so will be 'just as cack'! I like the way you say the TTE's cack but what are you basing that on? Its a supercharger and its probably the same as blitz just different label. Its as well built etc with warranty and produces same hp before tuning more then likely so how is it cack? Just because you have heard of Blitz? TTE specialise in Toyota tuning so probably know what they're doing whereas the Blitz is more a supercharger scaled down to what they think will work with the yaris inlet pipe size and displacement and probably wasnt designed in the same frame of mind as the TTE one.

Just a thought that you may just be basing the thought of which is good on which is the biggest name (and also most expensive) Most guys have gone custom as they found they can source turbo's etc for the car and fit themselves on a much tighter budget that a kit which will produce less anyway (Earpl being example!)

Can't say TTE are cack if Toyota feel they're spoiler and the like, are good enough to be included on the car AS STANDARD!!!!

if toyota include them, then TTE = toyota in quality, at least for the spoiler.. I suspect the supercharge is pretty decent too :)

they arnt 'cack' by any standard  and the blitz system does not have an intercooler as standard, its always shown on the marketing imgaes though

blitz intercooler for the yaris fits snug at the side of the rad filling the gap up :) cost you more though, + i believe TTE & blitz use the same blower unit.

I would say, go for the Earpl Bolt on turbo kit,

im sure if you ask him nicely and send some cash he will put your name down on the list

as for internals, if you spoke to Envy earlier they should have told you that they can get you internals if you want.

Need to see the results first but seeing chris's previous efforts im sure it will fly

TTE - Yeah, they are rubbish .. only winning (and cheating) in Rallies and running F1 cars for many a year ..

They know nothing about Toyota's.

Ok im going to retrack my previous statement about TTE. Just wasnt sure about them. lol. Im now tempted by a bit of turbo action. Earpl gimme the low down on the turbo goodness.

Japblack,

Save your money and buy a quicker car in the first place

At the end of the day you'll still only have a yaris, start with a quicker car and make it quicker.

Having the charger on the yari has been fun and different and the trip to TTE was awsum,

but it'll never be a sports car, its nippy now.

Spend the money on a tubby and enjoy yourself :D

about 175/80 bhp, low boost, 220/30 high boost with low comp pistons using garrett T3, very very cheep (performance for money) compared to all other turbo kits on the market, and oh... you cant have one :P

with the T3 you still gna need to get the ECU remapped, chipped, etc, right?

aint that gna cost a bomb?

so if u run a turbo + low boost you can get away with standard internals?

With low boost you can more than likely get away with stock internals, but crank the boost up too much and they ain't gonna take much of it!

For the ECU you use an emanage, nice and cheap solves the problem
