Timing Belt 7a-fe

Hi,

I have a timing belt for my 7AFE engine but it doesnt fit, how many teeth should it have, mine is 121 teeth and is too short.

The replacement belt I bough from Toyota for my 7A-FE has only 117 teeth!!

did a quick search on google for info, hope this many be of some help :)

My mechanic says the belt is short by 3 or so teeth. Could this be a japanese engine belt if there is a difference?

Fitted the belt today

117 teeth - exactly the same number as the one that came off.

Given the posts above I checked with the dealer before I started the job
