Please Help! 1990 Toyota 4x4 V6 Sr5

Hello!

My name is Alex, im from sunny Mexico... Im part of the Mustang club down here and at USA also... sorry if I brake any forums rules, hope not to... ;)

Anyway, I just bought a used Toyota pick up truck that came from up there (USA) and I need help from all of you guys, this is my first pick up truck, my first 4x4, my first toyota, and I dont have any info... :(

Im looking for a VIN decoder so I know the history of my truck...

and especially im looking for THE OWNERS MANUAL, i dont know what everything does... is there any PDF DOC or downloadable file around here? or does someone knows where I cant get a owner manual?... Any wahy, the only thing I know is that my new-used truck is a:

1990 TOYOTA 4X4 V6 SR5... it has a auto tranny, sun roof, power windows, power locks, power mirrors, fabric and its a 1 1/2 cabin...

I just tinted all the windows, taked of the catalizers, changed a "balero" (duno how its called in english I think is called "bullet mold" or something, u know those small round things pebble like that goes on the wheels), changed a suspencion suport arm, changed all the filters, oil, etc (full service), changed the stock head lights to some halogen "blue" looking bulbs, intended to look like HIDS, but theyr not...

And Im about to add a roll bar with 4 lights, and a new bumper u know the kind, with another 2 lights... and then im gona add a eclipse dvd-vcd-mp3 main unit with a included 7 inch screen, 3 amplifiers duno any specs 4 now, some new tweters, mid range Speakers, all of them eclipse, and a 18 inch subwoofer in the back seats... a viper car alarm with roll down and roll up remote windows and an engine remote starter, motion sensor, 2 way key chain... thinking about a bigger batery for the truck, maybe Optima...

Thats about it, but please please please!! HELP ME!!!...

I need everyones info about the truck, trany, 4x4, driving methods, etc... and of course...

THE OWNERS MANUAL!!!

You seem like a man after my own heart 4x4 mad and load of modifacations.

Cant really help you on the owners manual would it be worth a check on eBay.

If you dont know what all the switches do just give us some information like what is written on them or a pic and we may be able to help.

Thanks for posting... youve been the only one... Im more used to fest replys from the mustang club... anyway... I just came from the paint shop, they painted it yesterday at 10 am and delivered it to me today at 3 pm... I will be polishing it and waxing it in about 2 weeks in order for the paint to really dry... now it looks a lil bit like orange peel... but its just the looks... Ive worked with them before and they to excelent jobs... and then I drove it to a friends house where he is gona put all the sound system and alarm... hope to get it back... late on thursday? not really... maybe friday lunch time or evening...

I forgot to get some pics, but I will be posting some very soon... your link really did help me... now I know how much hps and torque Ive got... it really is in mint conditions... u will see later...

Anyway, please post some more and tell some of your friends to post and help me... if u can... I know im a new member... but give me a kind welcome! LOL...

The 4x4 section is not the most active part of the forum as there are not a great deal of 4x4's but i'll try to help you as much as possible with my little knollege of toyota 4x4's but i seem to find they are all quite similar my knollege is mainly Hilux based but good to have you with us but if you really want a warm TOC welcome put a post in General discussions with a pic of your car and you will get noticed with a Mustang (lucky sod) and a toyota 4x4 pick up

It seems you are the only one interested in my topic, LOL...

I promise I take some pics, its just that Ive been really busy this week...

Well the truck came out of the paint shop, it still needs to get polished and waxed, maybe 1 or 2 weeks more for that... The alarm is fully operational since yesterday, it opens locks, then windows, and when u close it it closes the windows also, and it has a remote engine starter, that is way cool!, oh and the remote control has a display with a car that tells me everyhting all the time, and has a range of half a kilometer, wich I already found out last nigh hehehe ... for the audio part, well, the eclipse dvd mp3 sound main unit is instaled and working, the infinity audio tweters and mid range Speakers (kevlar material) are instaled and working but the case where they are needs to get some fabric or vinil or cloth material, now is just wood, the amps are working but need to be calibrated so as the epicenter module and full equalizated, the 18 inches kicker subwofer is out of the truck and they are finishing the case for it, its huge!!...

IM really really hoping that it gets all done by tonight... cross your fingers... about now they are instaling the cromed bumber and roll bar, duno if they will get the 8 lights working today but they are all ready ordered... I think Im gona have to re tint the truck, cause there are some bugs in the windows...

I went to the cd-dvd store today and bought some dvds... michael jacksons history, the black eyes peas dvd, U2 vertigo tour, some led zepellin, the full 10 dvd set of the live eight concert, and some more dvds I dont remember now... I still need to buy "optima" batery for the truck and some dynamat... oh and the play station cables in order to conect it to the ecplise unit...

Thats what i like to hear a man who likes Led Zepplin, theres nothing better than driving to Rock and Roll (the song by Led Zepplin for those of you who dont know) on a summers day (not the we get summer in the UK )

Thats quite a modifaction list you have very similar to mine i cant wait for better weather (flaming British weather but im probably expecting a bit to much as its only march) so i can clean mine up and get the chrome and paint polished.

Well, I was so tired last night, I finished the truck about 1:00 am... it sounds way to much... u just couldnt belive it!... for a resume... ;)

Alarm... OK

DVD main unit... OK

Infinity mid range and tweters... OK

JC amplifiers class D... OK

Kicker 18 inches sub... OK

Mechanichal... OK

Suspension... OK

Limo windows tint... OK

Optima (finally got not yellow, but blue top) baterie... OK

Cromed Roll Bar... OK

4 roll bar lights... OK

Paint... waiting for more days to pass so I can polish it... 50%

Cromed Bumper... went to the factory and came out with some normal twisted tubes, need to finish them, add some suports, light stands, etc, then crome it, then install it, lets say... 20%

2 Bumber lights... no bumper so no lights yet, as soon as bumper is finished, it gets the lights... 0%

Dynamat... well im gona wait a lil bit so I can check if I really need it, probably it will... 0%

Some friends just took it to get it washed, cause it was really dirty with all that mayor mods... so I hope to get back later and im gona take it to the beach... its friday, so pics might be in on monday... but let me tell you guys hope you do like it a lil bit, cause its still not 100% finished... :(

what i do mate is put them in photo bucket

Then at the bottom of the pic on photobucket there is the IMG address single left click it and the address should be incased in a color (normally blue) press Ctrl and C on your keyboard at the same time.

then write out your post and press Ctrl and V at the same time and that will drop in the IMG address and your pic will be on here mate.

I know it sounds like a lot but when you get use to it, it takes seconds to post a image

If you do really struggle with it PM me and i'll give you my email address and you can send me the pics and i'll post them for you
