My clutch is slipping a lot! . it has done 64,000 miles , my dad reckons this aint much for a newish clutch, what do you guys think?

gonna buy one today and fit at the weekend, bigish job?, anybody done one. Also are there many types of clutch or will it be easy to get a replacement?

thanks in advance

64k miles isn't much for an OEM clutch - it should be able to last for twice that distance. But ultimately it depends on how it's been driven. Also, are you sure the car hasn't been clocked?

I would say it's a fairly big job, about average for a clutch in a FWD car.

nah deffo hasnt been clocked, got the orginal Mr T service book, and i know the guy who i bought it off,

i have done about 2500 miles, my first decent ish car, so may have been driving it a little hard sort of to speak , nothing silly though.

should be alrite, bit of wiggling and jostling it back in. hardwork doing it on jacks though, nevermind, i aint paying for it to be fitted.

lol, should hopefully be a much better car after that, been gettign wasted by Golf gti and cavaliers , recently. And the reason, bass system , masks the sound of slipping clutch.... never mind...
