Hi,

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to connect the Nokia CK-7W bluetooth Car Kit to the Yaris? I only have the standard Toyota stereo built into the dash. Also would I need to buy any extra cables to install it ie cable to mute the stereo when i receive/make a call?

Hi and welcome to the club

Just done a search and i've come up with this

I Installed a Nokia CK-7W in my Yaris yesterday using an Auto Lead which i bought from In Car Tech (Based near Petersfield, Hants) and it works using the Mute lead, however it does say in the intructions you will have to work out which of the leads is the mute, as it only lists the mute for the Yaris, Rav 4, and the Avensis! I know it can be done though, my mum has a Corolla Verso and that mutes the radio when you make or receive a call!

Hope this helps.....

You can get the autoleads from siocommunications

http://www.siocommunications.co.uk/06-062B.html

http://www.siocommunications.co.uk/Autoleads_Adaptors.html

You will need both of those for a CK-7W if you are using a different kit then you will need the corresponding power lead from the second link

If you are in Hampshire and can pick it up In Car Tech are very good, and can be contacted on 01730 710351 and the item number is a 10-207 they are £42.46 exc vat

Additionally you may be interested in this for the Parrot Kit

Hope that helps

It looks really complicated to install though - and where is the speaker/microphone?

I have that kit, but unfortunately the guy that installed it was so miffed by the Yaris wiring that sadly the auto-mute function isn't active on it. No matter though, as its still a pretty smart bit of kit.

Just so that you know, the speaker on mine is down at the bottom of the centre console in front of the cupholders, but you'd never really notice it unless you were looking.

I have the appropriate cradle for my 6320 too, but because the correct Yaris mount didn't arrive on time its mounted on the right of the steering wheel sort of across the top of the coin holder - actually quite a convenient place for it.

Anyhow, good luck...

Alan
