Is That A Gt4 Part 2

if you drove past me i dont think i would be able to say its not a gt4. The sound might give it away tho?... turbo sound... dump valve etc.

Not all GT-4s make an almighty whooosh when they change gears  so I dont think anyone could say for definate whether it was fake unless you were behing it in a GT-4!!!

how about some spoiler raiser blocks to finish the GT4 look? only about £80 and easy to fit

LOL when i bought the car i was 22...i would not even have got insured on a GT had it not been i hadnt used my dad as a main driver...must be where i live i reckon

I brought my GT4 when i was 21 (only turned 22 a few weeks back) and my insurance on a GT4 import was £1100 fully comp with churchill. 21 with 1 year NCB.

Try a quote on churchill online now.. i would be interested to see what they offer.

Thats cheap that where do you live and where do you say your car is overnight? I dont believe that price as used to live in the one of the lowest risk areas in the country and I could'nt have got insurance that cheap with 1 year ncb! Plus by 21 I had owned 5 group 15 plus cars and had 4 years NCB and my insurance company take that into consideration.

When i say the sound of a GT4, if he was booting it you would be able to tell from the sound as the turbo spooling is loud. But he may drive slowly and thats why i said that the sound 'might' give it away.

Insurance:

My area is probably one of the lowest crime areas you will find (Solihull)

on the insurance it is Garaged overnight, which when i get round to clearing out my garage a bit, it wil be.

The exact figure i pay is £1,128

I think i was lucky with churchill. Most companies said 'sorry we wont insure you until your 25 on that vehicle'

What someone should do is get a GT4 and then replace the body kit with a standard ST kit.

Have you seen the old school escort, in brown.

Steel wheels, pea shooter exhaust, 1.3 (it think) giha Badge etc .. tuned Cosworth lump under the bonnet.

Nice sleeper (but still a Ford).

Might cause problems with ventilation

Churchill does seem stupidly cheap for GT4 insurance. I live within a mile of the city centre, I park on the road and have 3yncb and I'm 23 and I can get insurance for £704 F/C on a GT4.

As for Disguising a GT4 as an ST if anyone wants to swap their GT4, bumper, bonnet and sideskirts for my Bumper and bonnet let me know

Yeah Bibbs why cant he write like dat?!?! I know what you mean but surely he has'nt broke any rules?! Anyway who the hell is steve as I need to change my password??

Never said he couldn't .. I just asked im kindly not to.

If I can't read/understand a thread easliy, I don't bother. And I'm not the only one. So if he was after answers/comments, he's have gotten more typing in English.

Your PM box was full .. "Steve" goes under the username of "Steve" .. he's in the list of "The Moderationg Team". The Moderators

To be honest I found it difficult to understand that first paragraph!

If have seen a Blue 1.3'L' Escort Mk2 (think) with full cosworth running gear and engine, I saw a video of it stuffing a 911 Turbo! That had steelies on aswell, slightly wider than usual but still the only thing that gave it away was the roll cage! A true sleeper

I would have that rather than a GT4! Imagine the fun you could have, ferrari's and Porches would have no chance and by the time they figure out whats going on they wont be able to reel you in!!!!

it's *only* 350bhp .. it's enough to upset a LOT of cars (esp with the 1.3 badge) but a reasonable Porsche or Rarri should still upset it.

Like I said by the time a Porsche owner realises that its not a 1.3 it will probably be traveling at 60mph and I cant see one catching it that quickly not on a public road anyway. I'd say its probably lighter than a modern Porsche so its power to weight ratio would be better IMHO. Im sure that car can upset more people than any other around, imagine £100,000 car being upstaged by what looks like a £100 banger! Now I know the body work is mint but most people wont take much notice of that and presume otherwise.

Like they say the AA Badge finishes the car off!

Would you be upset if a Porsche just about kept of with your escort! I did'nt think so!!

I think he needs a polystyrine/balsa wood rear seats and baby seat with toys. Make it look like a proper car.

But yeah, it's awesome ..
