Hello, i have a 1990 import st185, when i start it it starts first time with no engine (anger) manegment light displayed. As soon as i touch the throttle the engine man. light comes on. When i drive the car it is fine at low revs but as soon as i open her up i get spluttering and missfireing, sometimes it will break through this and clear for a few seconds and then the problem re-occurs. I have run the engine diagnostics and the car says that there is a knock on the engine and that there is an airflow meter fault. I have replaced my air flow meter and still no joy. i have aslo replaced my plugs and leads thinking that maybe this was my problem but no. If any one can help please please email me on jordanbishop1981@yahoo.co.uk Many thanks Jordan

Must be a 185 thing :D . Mine was exactly the same when i bought it. Change the dizzy cap, rotor arm and HT leads. Don`t forget the one going to the coil. This was where the problem was on mine. The end contact on the HT lead had corroded inside the coil. It was only when i went to pull it off that i could see. The end was left behind in the coil. So if yours is corroded in there, make sure you get all the old bits out and give it a good clean up.
