I test drive the Sportivo in Australia yesterday....but I didnt feel the lift everytime it revs above 6200+..is it because it is a brand NEW car ??? will it make a differences once the car has been run in ?

This is serious if you can't feel the lift kick in. It is very noticable, even to a V8 hungry aussie.

make sure if you can or did:

Drive a manual car

Rev the car in gear past 6200k

Have sense of feeling

Make sure your in a sportivo corolla 2003 (OZ only '03)

Car engine is still cold - 7000rpm limit with no lift

If the car is brand new, it still should feel the same, only tighter. Performance wouldldn't change much over time, you would just feel the car working better as everything has loosened up.

But yeah, I dunno about not hitting the power band in CTS, it seems too odd I think it may be simply cold. Thoose sales men try to speed everything up.
