Customer Service? What Customer Service?

I am being p***ed around with delivery of my new Yaris, not through my dealers fault but there's been recalls etc and the date has gone from feb to may to 3rd March to 31st March to 29th March. I phoned up Toyota customer service yesterday to complain at the treatment I have received and that I was really appalled by Toyota at this stage and wouldn't be recommending them to anyone. The woman agreed that it was bad was very apologetic etc and would see what they could do to "make it up to me".

Anyway had a phone call again today from them, the woman basically implied I had lied to them which I hadn't and that she had spoken to the dealer who backed up her side not mine and there was nothing they would do so tough basically.

I was really really appalled, she had twisted everything I said so I phoned up the dealer to put my side of the story across and the guy was great and said he will see what he can do for me but won't promise anything.

I have to say my first impressions of Toyota aren't great.........

Thats well bad considering your spending so much, my mum&dad bought a Renualt Clio 3 years ago and they were treated badly, (Funnly enought it was after the deal was struck and the order was placed?) Once you've signed i feel like they don't care anymore. The target is to sell you a car of theirs when its sold their not interested (enless you miss payments). Saying that when my mum and dad got their Yaris it a better service, but still no one cares about after sales anymore.

Did you get the name of the lady you spoke to?

If so, ask to speak to her supervisor, and send a letter in writing lodging your complaint.

You should ring up and say you'd like to write a letter to the Head of Customer Services and ask for their name - and if they wont give it (as most companies might not) then just address a letter to the Head of Customer Services. The higher you go, the more seriously they'll take it!
