Timing Belt Change

Hiya Guys

This is my first post so in at the deep end as they say.

I am going to be changing the timing belt on my 1993, Corolla 1.3 XLi 16 valve this weekend.

I have done timing belts before and I am mechanicaly minded.

Has anyone got any instructions/advice on this?

Any help would be very much appreciated

if its a 4efe which i suspect, then the crank bolt holding the fan belt pulley is real tight, spray with penetrating oil for a good day or so and then when you get the bolt off, DO NOT wedge screwdrivers in trying to get the pulley off. once you've got this off its fairly straight forward.

I got the timing belt on without taking the drivers side engine mount out, if you loosen it and then jack the engine up there is just enough space to thread it round.

hope this helps
