+ before anyone asks i've done 40000 on it, + i think the syncromesh for 2nd gear is shagged, but it will be easier + more ring friendly just to replace the box.

How much is it roughly for a new TS gearbox??

Would it fit my car? I quite like the idea of a shorter ratio 'box.

I dont know if this is true or not but ages ago when i wrecked my 1.0L gearbox i think it was like £3000 for a gearbox from toyota but that sounds way too much...

From a main dealer thats about right, my mate has wrecked 2nd gear in his 106gti it was 3k for a new box and 900 just for second gear :o

I was guessing too much... plus i doubt it'd fit anyway.

Think i'll stick to other, slightly cheaper mods.... anyone selling a perrin pulley?!?!
