I'd prefer to be in my own custom starlet rally car than be in yet another mod'd evo or scoobie. I'd have to be frickin rich to make an evo or a scoobie the way I want it, and then it'd have far too much money invested in it to abuse it round the track. I'd be happy to take the starlet on a road rally and put it in to a tree sideways/roofways. You've got to be pretty rich to crash £30k's worth of evo/scoobie and not cry.

Nah, no problems .. it's just being a mod I see a lot of "what do I need to do to beat this car" .. and the question has SO many variables.

Please don't think I'm being harsh (I may take the mic, but it's not ment as a put down).

If we all had money this would be a Zonda/Bugatti forum ..

I've gone down the "what do I need .. " route and I had a car that was capable against bigger cars round Nur .. it also got whipped by some tiny ones. And now I'm driving a "tarts car" .. but it's all about the fun of driving. Life is not a destination, but the way we get there :)

(Oh and I tried Toyota Altezza rs200 (the z's helped but not enough)

Your right, with cars your cant plan the destination, just enjoy the journey as it comes together. I really enjoy getting my tools out, rewiring things, making brackets/flanges, just using my brain and hands really. Tis cool, and rewarding when it works.

Yeah, I didn't mean to be ofensive, but an Evo will always be a better platform that a Starlet as a base.

And I hate to say that, cause I'm not a fan of Evo's..

:!Removed!: Sorry but saw a slarlet beat an evo at the pod . I even have it on film....dont matter what engine it had in it it beat an evo then a scooby and held its own against an RX7. So shove that in yer pipe and smoke it. I dont own a starlet but after seeing that go it was impressive

Obviously a modded car vs stock you can't comment on that one. There is a Micra on NZ that runs 11's .. now we could have a Micra vs Stock Skyline thread and it's be just as pointless.
