Jdm Mirrors?

Hello,

I am new to your forums and went throught them a bit to find what I was looking for but apparently no one has asked the question or......I got lazy and didn't make it far enough into the forums.

I just bought a set of used JDM Fold back mirrors for my 1990 turbo off of e-bay. My question is... are your mirrors power fold or do they just have the break away and if they are power fold does any one have access to the schematics so I know what I'm doing when trying to istall them on my car?

Any help would be appreciated.

Brian

Hiya, our UK mk3 supras didn't come with electric fold mirrors, only electric adjustable.

I'm sure one of the import supra owners will be along shortly to let you know if they electric fold in mirrors.

My UK turbo has eletric adjustable heated mirrors

My Jap TT has electric adjustable and electric folding mirrors, but not heated.

In all honesty the heated option is far more usefull then the folding one!!!! (Pheeky, the tard, has heated folders)

I don't have the wiring diagrams anywhere for them, but I can tell you they are operated from one simple push switch, located on the mirror control panel (in JDM cars, obviously)...

USDM ones are different again... they don't fold at all, and look smooth....

THanks, that would help alot...the car is at a friends right now and apparently he found some schematics for it....we'll see soon. How ever I am interested in the "making them heated" option. Are you guys/gals able to order the heated glass mirrors by themselves (just the glss) or even just the regular glass for those...they don't show up in the US parts books so far.

Okay, we got the electrical part fixed but since we have left hand drive and the mirrors are from a right hand drive the vision is a bit screwy. Are the UK cars left or right drive or is it a mix? If it is a mix, is any one able to get ahold of the glass portion perferably with the heated option and what would it cost me?

  • 2 weeks later...

UK spec cars. and J spec are right hand drive.

You'd need European spec mirror glass as they drive on the wrong side aswell :D
