Just a newbie question...we have a 2001/Y Toyota Yaris Verso VVTi GS which we bought yesterday and r trying to figure out how to use the alarm,the dealer we got the car from said it had immobilizer/alarm but did not know how to activate the alarm...(guess he was a new starter salesman)the keys we got have got unlock/lock on them and thats it,any help would be most welcome...Thankyou.

I didnt think it had an alarm? :blink: i thought only the T-Sport Yaris had it.....The higher versions of the ranges have them...the Gs is a good one but not as high as can be even though its a verso.

You can get it as an option though, so its possible!

If it s a toyota alarm, it should activate with the key, Press once will lock the car, i think twice alarms and deadlocks it, 3 times disables internal sensors if you have a dog or something and 4 times reactivates internal sensors (I think but please feel free to correct me those of you who have a stock alarm!)

Otherwise if its an aftermarket one, either it needs a seperate fob or is controlled by the central locking, so the alarm is armed as soon as the doors are locked!

Have a look under the bonnet and see if you can see a loud sounder! :thumbsup:

Thanx for your replies i have been told today its factory fitted...so dicey2k will get the wife to try it when she eventually gets home from her travels....lol
