Hard Acceleration Today..210hp Turbo Volvo Lost..

Today I had an interesting day indeed...my fried with his new 210 hp turbo Volvo tried to accelerate hard and beat me...and lost the came clearly indeed...Corolla T-Sport second gear and after reaching the impressive engine power bang at 6500...the Volvo was paper indeed... :o

on paper JPS the 172 and the 172cup are only 0.5 of a second apart in the 0-60 race, 7.4 and 6.9 respectively...

the Clio V6 is a little faster at 5.8 ;)

isn't the so call MUG (sorry i mean CUP) is the cheaper version of them clio 172 all they did was taking all the equitment like abs ,traction,air-con..etc...out of the car to take the weight off the clio

now thats what i call a car gone backward how many time does Renault want to facelift them clio. lol :D hahahahah

Actually if you check most of the threads on here i've not said anything bad about the CTS, whereas a lot of you NEVER say anything good about anything that does not come with a Toyota Badge on it!

Just take a look, i'm sticking up for the CUP for godsake yet your slating it immature remarks because its made by renault. How hypocritical can u get. I'll also stick up for the Leon Cupra R. Im not a max power muppet unlike most only interested in there own car and thinking its the fastest thing on earth.

CTR/CTS/LCR/CUP are all different and suit different people.

Renault will keep on giving the Clio a facelift as long as people keep on buying them. Common business sense im afraid.

Oh yeah i nearly forgot, the GF owns a damn T-Sport. :o

True, some mags have timed it at 6.5secs 0-60 though. All down to the driver and conditions though.

The V6 just looks and sounds fantastic :D

not true most of us have good things to say about cars that is better than cts no point talk about another car that is worst off for example :Renault clio no built quilty at all

look and sound fantasic Not really i rather have S2000 better in everyway a proper beautiful sports car (thats what i am getting next BTW)

they are still good little cars

japaness hatch back car always change model at around 5 years example : corolla (E11 to E12) no matter how well the car sells or not they hardly ever facelift

facelift dont mean changing silly things like indicator from amber to white that is not a facelift

facelift is proper changes like suspention,seats,bumpers,steeringwheels,engines etc........but still keep the same Shell thats a facelift

beat another two 172 today easy when are these 172 drivers gonna learn not to mass with the almighty toyota corolla tsport :P

um, the corolla was changed in 2002, and i'm pretty sure it's set to be changed again in 2004... and if by face lift u mean changing the look of the car, then yes that's a face lift

I dont get where this 'pouring cold water on CTS owners' comes from because i honestly dont hate/dislike the CTS. I have said its not for me because of looks/sytling etc but surely thats a viable reason for me to choose a different car? ;)

Also i really do believe it is faster than the manufacturers book time. Ive seen the tests magazines have done on it and know it aint slow.

I know the renault has :censor: build quality. But for the price the performance is damn good you have to admit. Only reason i would buy one is if i couldnt afford anything better but still wanted a fun/nippy car. :)

If you saw a Clio V6 on the road you wouldnt take a second glance?

Im pretty sure 99% of people would be staring at it. For a production car its styling is brilliant and a change from the norm IMO. Ive never heard anyone thing they sound awful until now ;)

S2000 is a great car. Might get one myself in the future. Although an S2200 is on the way so might be worth waiting for that. Then again, im tempted by the 350Z with uprated power pack and body kit B)

i know what you mean about no more power to overtake when any cts racing cars like ctr,172, even saxo vts

if we win we win by little if we lose we lose by little there isn't that much in it

it is down to the driver and the kind mood your cts are in :D :D :D :D

ps:if anyone ever lose to ctr dont feel gutted cos they are the king of hatchbacks far as speed goes
