Question For Charlie (or Anyone Else)

I spotted a very nice black Mk3 for sale recently but i'm a bit confused to which model it is.

Import

Chassis - GA70H

Year - 1992

5 speed manual

It looks like a wide body and is described as a Mk3 2TB GT!

So would it be the 2.0l Twin turbo and did they do a GT?

Can't get hold of the seller at the moment, just interested

Yup...

All Mkiii supras are A-70s (although there were some A-71s, but ignore them, they were the same anyway lol)

the first letter dictates what engine it has...

So any 7M powered supra is a Ma-70, and 1JZ powered one is a JZA-70, and any 1G powered supra is as already said, a GA-70.

Being a '92 it will defintely be a wide body, they only made facelift narrow bodies for one year ('88-'89) and anything before that was a narrow body pre facelift.

The GT and GT Twinturbo is the regular model car, where any extras on it were optional... this is what my black TT is (all be it narrow and aerotop).

being a late one with the revision three engine, it will have 210 bhp, Very reliable engine, but high revving so look out for big end problems... No headgasket issues here :D Should sound far smoother then a 7M too
