Weird And Wonderful Gadgets

Just doing some 'research' for work and came across this. I'm in love :wub: ;

It's a robo-dog that you plug into your stereo/mp3 player and it dances to the tunes, with lots of pretty flashing lights. Certain types of music make it behave well, whilst another will make it act up.

If you had some spare cash, what totally pointless but must have gadget would you buy?

An S2000 (with start button, eletric roof, HID lights), a silly exhaust, APEXi RSM & VAFC, and a Bee*R Rev limiter.

Brings a smile to my face every morning, and in a world full of normal cars, it really is a gadget.

that dog looks cool - i always wanted the Sony robo-dog that was fully trainable, not exactly artificial intelligence, but a very cool gadget!

My sister and Bro have got one each for the iPod's...

Not sure what I'd have, but I reckon it'd be one of them lazyboy recling chairs, with the built-in fridges, phone, remote holders, and laptop desk with built-in wireless router (in the chair).

My favourite gadget would be something that allowed me to plug in all my electronic gizmos to the mains, including TV, DVD, laptop, printer, etc. etc. without having leads all over the place.

Oh if you want an iDog like the one pictured above...

iDog (clicky)

Remember tire tagz from the States? Well the bad news is they're now available here.

Be afraid, be very afraid

Good news is they're expensive and nobody has reviewed them yet so they are either not selling or whoever's got them is too embarrassed to say!

I want a Sony Aibo.. in Bronze... with the Mind III artificial intelegence software

They roam about and learn their environment... they "make friends" and meet people, and find a favorite place they like to hang out  they have built in wireless and upload their own blog to the internet, with pictures etc... you can also show them an album cover and they will wirelessly tell the PC to play it... a bit back they had a daft punk dance off, whee they all had to doa dance toa daft punk tune... its all on the sony vaio website...

Sad, but I really want one!!!

Shame they cost £1500 :(

My dad wants one of these lol.

for future, a house that is fully wireless with a pad that controls everything in it

Home automation is getting pretty big in the US, X10 can be used to drive an awful lot of things from lights to central heating systems. Add a PC into the mix and you can program it to practically run your house, which is kinda cool.

Then I'd only have to carry one phone around not a V3 and Hitachi nokia brick look-e-like wifi phone.

On the subject of phones, there's the fabled Apple iPod phone (NOT the motorola thing, but an Apple branded iPod/phone done properly). I can't wait for Apple nirvana

How about some B&O louspeakers for your laptop?

Dunno what they sound like but I love the look!

clicky

Or maybe a B&O mobile phone?

It sits at home in a little charging dock and flips open if someone calls you.

clicky again.

Oh and the leather cases for the phone and bluetooth headset are by Louis Vuitton.
