why dont you try putting a new head gasket on your current engine. usually when youve lost compression on two closest cylinders it the h/gasket that has blown between the two.

We've been talking on my forum too.

The best of my knowledge is this

Physical fitting - absolutely no problem with the exception of possibly the exhaust. I know 5e-fhe has a deeper sump than the 4e-fte so there may be a bit of modification with exhaust pipes needed.

Wiring - I know that when people convert 4e-fe to 4e-fte (starlet turbo) they have to rewire the ecu because whilst the plugs may be similar, the wires go to different positions on the ECU. However, I think if we can get round this, we may be onto a solution - not just for you but for others who wish to follow.

If you can get an ECU pin out diagram for your ECU and possibly an engine bay wiring (ask your local dealer very very nicely) then we can compare against the Sera ones I have.

We can at least try and work the theory out before getting hands dirty.
