WHAT I HAVE HEARD ABOUT BIO DIESEL IS ITS FAR BETTER FOR YOUR ENGINE THAN CONVENTIONAL DIESEL.YOU GET MORE BHP VIRTUALLY NO EMMISIONS AND YOUR ENGINE DOES NOT GET GUNGED UP.

RAY. I HAV'NT USED IT YET

I ran a Toyota Townace (1991) on a modified waste vegitable oil (used veggie oil with something added to it) for a about six months then the fuel pump died. I don't know if its because of the veggie oil, or if its just an old pump. Some fuel injectors will cope with it, and some won't. So its worth knowing how your will cope. Most Toyota's, I am told, do okay because they used a clone of the Bosch injectors which work well with veggie oil. However, thats just what I heard.....

Its also worth noting that technical bio-diesel is vegitable oil which has been molecularily altered and will work in any desiel car, while only some cars will work off of straight new vegitable oil or modifed waste (used) vegtable oil. Its also worth noting that you must pay fuel taxes if you use vegitable oil.

Derbylee,

I have used modified WVO for 2 years in my Granvia, which I believe to have the same engine as a Regius - the 1KZ-TE 3-litre turbo. I use up to 75-80% in really warm weather, down to 50% during the coldest. So far, no problems at all, nor with any of the 7 other vehicles in my close family. These range from old L/Rover to 1991 Focus. Low emissions, good performance, lovely smell - and 70p stays in my pocket for every litre, duty paid!

any idea of the MPG on a Regius?? I'm thinking of trading in my thirsty 4WD Lucida but only if there's significant difference in MPG - anyone out there have an accurate figure?? Thanks.
