Quick 6th Gen Distributor Cap Question?

:help: Just had a look at my distributor cap as i suspect it needs replacing. Thing is, it has wires comming out for the 4 HT leads going to the spark plugs all pointing in one direction. AND 2 tubes pointing in the opposite direction. Anyone know what these extra 2 rubber tubes are for? Mine have nothing plugged in to them at all and i am wondering what they are for and if this is a problem? Its a 1995 2 litre GT by the way.

they are to let moisture out AFAIK - I may have a used one plus rotor arm for not much £ if you are interested.

Yep. Seconded. They are there to prevent moisture building up.

Phew thats a releif, thought i may have knocked something off when i removed the cap :D

Thanks for the offer GT4 Booster but hopefully they should not be too expensive so i'll try and get those new.

Also want to do the HT leads as one of mine is pretty worn.

Man those things are expensive, Halfords wanted something like £140 for a set of 5  but i found some german ones for £75 plus the vat online.
