:ffs: Well come out from work in the office car park i came down off a kerb and hear this loud bang first i thought it was my sump, but i now know its the Subframe Reinforcement Bar which is bent a bit on the drivers side ,so im p***ed off.Does any one know how much this is going to cost? And will it affect anything else? Also how do i stand with claiming back the cost from the boss{I know its going to be like pulling teeth to get money out of them B*****DS}.

Many Thanks Andyp

Ouch, that sucks.

Did you have to go off the kerb?

I generally try to avoid such things - not for stuff like this, but for alloys

If you could avoid this, ie finding a level bit to go off you stand in a bad way really, will have to pay for it yourself, no doubt about it.. ie lazyness, not driving to the ramp / no-kerb bit. If you have to go off the kerb, I'd say where you are parking is a bit cack, and maybe you can get things sorted out for you, and more importantly perhaps, getting ramps and all that sort of stuff sorted out for everyone who uses that car park.

:( Asked the human resources manager today and was told "sorry mate the there are signs up saying park at own risk",then he said i could use the pits at work to fit the new part,so i phoned up Wakefeild toyota as i've had a few run ins with the Leeds branch and they told me its going to cost about £20 for the part{it attached to the chassis and the front control arm}so at least its only cheap, well if you call a piece of 8"tube with flat ends and bolt hole on each end cheap. So i pick it up the part on Friday, its only a "min job just a case of bolt off and bolt on,i had a look at the spot were i drove off and it looks as if i'm not the only one whos come a cropper, its a 6" drop but our place won't do nothing about it.
