The coments are not against the D4D or Toyota... The engine is fine I love the car. Just having some problems resolving what the problems are. Even with this intermitent problem the car still starts first time, runs to where I need to go and back again...just a bit slow thats all...

Just take a look at the new JD Power survey and see where the RAV is compared the the Freelander.....

The top make was Lexus (Toyota Exec Brand) most of the top makers are from the land of the rising sun :thumbsup:

35,000 miles in 2years, mixed driving, including towing caravan 3,000 miles, and trip through France into Germany 2,006 miles in 9 days. Fabulous Rav, superb engine has averaged 40 mpg

Have noticed slight difference in performance/noise levels depenant on the fuel used

Clutch was a bit sharp until 7,000 miles, particullarly at low speed, change down into second, then seemed to settle-in. Engine also started to free-up. :D

Only issue to date has been squeaky drive belt..............new belt + shim behind pulley seems to have cured problem
