Bought my Toyota 2 half years ago and I was impressed by the service. Coffee with biscuits while-you-wait. Friendly, no :censor: service and, what I thought at the time, a "reliable" car.

2 and a half years on I find my new model Avensis is about as reliable as a :censor: Two new headlamps (due to melting plastic FFS!), stalling issues (not the Carbon Filter...oh no!) and now the steering rack/column squeeking.

But the crux of it is I was told at my last service to rebook it for warranty to the steering column. Now the :censor: have suffered a bout of mass amnesia and want it in for an "investigative" appointment. Thus wasting a couple of hours of my time, just for the hell of it. Clowns!

Seems like now Toyota have taken over from Ford in worldwide sales, they have now taken over their reputation for poor customer service.

All this after being quoted £179 at my last service and trying to be shafted for £590 cos the such an incredibly beautiful persons had to do some warranty work....well :censor: you :censor: ! It's not my fault the car is so :censor:

Yes I'm :censor: :censor: to high heaven....and don't tell me to change dealer. It's the biggest Toyota dealer in the UK. Jemca Toyota. Shame on you, you :censor: clowns!

On the topic of Shelia's Wheels and insurance cons.

You all remeber Diamond - insurance for women. Turns out it is the same company as Elephant but with a different logo and colour - otherwise exactly same wbsite. So how come when looking for an insuarance deal for my mother I got a cheaper quote from Elephant than from Diamond??

Do we think that these companies as cynically luring women in and then charging them more than the going rate while making them think they are getting a woman friendly deal.

And while we are moaning about insurance. I am with Admiral this year. I changed car - they charged me £14.50 to update my paperwork. I moved house - they charged me £14.50 to change my address. When I complained they said that all insurance companied do this. Do they :censor: !

Very interesting this topic , but I have had nine Yoyotas over the years and never had any major problems with any of them, until now that is , touch wood

However my last car a Honda Jazz ( sorry for the bad language ) :!Removed!: , had to have the steering column replaced after just 7K.

Think I'll stick to Toyota's in the future !!!!!

Toyota may be the biggest seller now...but in my opinion that goes against them. Look at Ford, they were the biggest for years and made crap cars for years. Fact is, 99 per cent of the population are complete morons. Biggest in the world just means crap customer service, cos they don't really need your business.
