Well i've been speaking to Power Enterprise to make me a timing belt for my Cynos and they seem to be up for it and are going to give me an estimate for all the belts soon! So basically what I'm getting at is....does anyone else want me to ask for some belts from them? Perhaps even a group buy sort of thing?

For those of you not in the know, basically they're just belts...but my god they are indestructible, they are called " super strong " for a good reason. I think they outlast the stock ones by " at least " 4 times, and unlike normal timing belts, that means that they won't stretch and alter the timing when nearing onto their death-by date. But yeah, im definitely getting their timing belt if they can make me one, and if they can make me all the other belts that'll be cool, and ill ask them if they can give a discount if i can get at least " x " people in on it...cheers

The Sera mob may be interested.

These should be the same for all 5e engines

*but* belt failure is rare (never heard of one failing myself), and the service interval is 60,000 miles, so I'm not really sure if I'm sold on the needs of a stronger belt.

well, the camry i have in saudi arabia snapped its timing belt so it isnt completely unheard of...though the 5sfe does seem to be quite an unreliable engine. and i know what you're on about, but the main " reason " to buy these if anything is for peace of mind when producing more power from the stock powerplant, and they'll retain the timing (i.e. won't stretch) for a lot longer than stock bla bla bla...im just re-iterating pretty much the company blab but yeah...as soon as they get back to me though ill let you know, they should be giving me an estimate and answer to my group buy suggestion...

Well ultimately, i'd say i'm interested.

I don't really belive the stretch claims either...

meh, go to their site and decide for yourself Their site <--- , hehe. well anyway....just got an email back...and they say they need " at least " 50 requests to make a single belt, at £65 per belt...sooo....

£ 65 vs £ 20 for a standard belt which will last you 60,000 miles plus. Personally I wouldn't bother.

hmm, im thinking that too...but ill see, im betting some of the tercel boys in america would go for it...i just want to do it for the peace of mind really

Some things just arnt worth it. Focus on your carbon bonnet group buy enrico, they are more in demand. Even I could be tempted to join the rice paddy.

it aint my group buy matt, its daz's but meh...im getting the bonnet for the weight reduction, not for the " look "...and i need a timing belt :P

I'll eat my hair if that belt doesn't stretch.

i dont think that it " wont stretch " per se...just by not as much...or maybe itll just snap instead of stretching  (im only joking, potential interests dont be put off!)
