I thought I should say hi to you all and hope to get more aquinted as time goes by.

I have been a life long Saab 9000 driver although they were diluted with an array of heaps.

My last 9k just completed 200,000 miles before I sold her on.

But due to the Vauxhall influence I have now purchased an 02 Avensis based on the reputation of Toyota's.

Yes there will always be rougue cars but looking at the big picture I was convinced.

So now I start on the next chapter of my motoring experience with the Avi.

I only picked her up yesterday but I am impressed with the relaxing qualities when driving. It is also very smooth and effortless to drive after the oil tanker 9000.

If anyone has anything I should look out for then please let me know.

Have fun and stay safe.

Welcome chap! Hope you enjoy your stay.

Can't really compare my 'vensis to yours as mines a chuggy diesel but I think that as long as you don't get the "cat in the bag" as some have, you will thoroughly enjoy the car. I've just got the Colour Collection (T2) and I'm more than happy with it... I'd like alloys and an mp3 player but hell... I can add them if I'm that bothered and anyway, it's one of the most comfy cars I've driven and safe as you can get.

I know what you mean as alloy's are the one thing I have decided it needs. Wheel trims just don't look right these days :crybaby:

The only decision is whether to stay with the 15" or think bigger.

Thank you all for the welcome :D :D

She is gorgeous mate, but I doubt the 2002 model I have would look that tasty.

Although I bet there is someone who will prove me wrong B)
