Taxes? Portugal is considered one of the countries wit highest taxes on car sales in Europe. I can't tell how much was the car price before taxes, but here is mine, with taxes:

Avensis Saloon 1.8 VVTi, January 2005, rear parking sensors, metalic paint (silver), alarm, 6CD's changer underseat, all fitted by dealer before picking it up. Total price 31.500€ (21.902£). But I guess it's still less expensive then in Norway

Cons Marex. It is possible you'll get the car with the new facelift, as they asure me - I signed on March 18th.

I do not know if you'll have a "warranty extension" available in Norway, but in Spain you can take it (price 500€ to add 2 years), and you can get the last day of your current warranty (in 2 years and 364 days time)

I get a magazine this week which compares 5 cars and the overall scores were:

1.- Avensis Wagon: 8.2

2.- Opel Vectra SW: 7.9

3.- Peugeot 407 SW:7.8

4.- VW Passat Variant: 7.7

5.- Honda Accord Tourer: 7.6

The best points of our Avensis were gear change & transmission, equipment, safety...

In Spain, my brand new car is woth 23500€ (with a great discount around 2000€) and it is a 2,000vvti sol StationWagon (metalic paint, parking sensors and alarm included).
