Storing A Celica.....

Hi,

Does anybody know if I need to do anything to my Celica Gen7 140 if i'm not going to use it for six months?

I've recently lost my licence for several months (On medical grounds) and can no longer drive it, therefore i want to store it, but is there anything i need to do to make sure it preserves nicely, ie. disconecting the Battery, or anything else?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Neil

Sorry to hear that. Not entirely sure with a car - personally I would just give it a good wash and wax then garage it and leave it.

With a Motorbike they recommend doing the following:

Add a fuel stabiliser to the petrol to stop it going off.

Change the Oil before you put it away and when you get it out

Go for a good blast before putting it away then put cling film over the exhaust to stop moisture forming.

Connect Bike to a Battery optimiser

Apparantley the worst thing you can do is go and start it up once a week as that will cause moisture to form and rust everything from inside out!
