Shock Absorbers

Just picked up my new suspension for the front of my 91 celica gt. They look like inserts, there is no base for the springs to sit on ( i am not very mechanically minded!)...

Do you reckon they are correct, they are KYB excel-g shocks and they are going on the front of the car.

The pictures i have seen of other shocks shows a mounting at the bottom of the suspension , the ones i have got dont have this mounting, ... have a been given the back ones.. the shop says they are correct..

any ideas?

Yep. They`ll be inserts.

The middle one is a standard shock for a non mcpherson setup.

The one on the box is a full mcpherson strut

And the one at the front is the insert for the mcpherso. You unscrew the collar on the strut and simply pop the insert in.
