Looked out at my car today and what do I see:

I get worried so I go out and look at the car!

This is how the right looks:

And how the left looks:

Can I do anything about this? Can I get them sorted in anyway?

:crybaby:

I've got the European HKS address, phone number and e-mail address. If I e-mail them what do you think I should say? Send them the pictures and ask them how I'd go about getting them fixed?

Also, what do u think I should say to Kev from Envy? Just that they're busted and ask him if he can sort me out with a fix?

Envy can't do anything about them but recommend I contact Tein and see if they'll re-condition that strut for me! Kevin did offer to source me a new strut though so I've always got that to fall back on!

I've just e-mailed HKS Europe and I'll see what they're saying to it! :)

The words paddle and creek spring to mind! This is what I got back from HKS:

Hi Ryan,

Unfortunately due to the fact we do not sell the Hipermax range in Europe we are unable to provide support or a rebuild service within Europe. I think I am correct in saying that the type of damper that is used on the rear of the Yaris is not the type that can be rebuilt.

I would suggest you look at replacing this damper. As previously stated we do not sell Hipermax in Europe and therefore can not supply a replacement via our dealer network.

If you have any questions or if can assist you please contact me.

Best regards,

Gary Finney

Really clarky? :P

I then asked the HKS guy what kind of suspension he thought I had as I have no idea. This was his reply:

Hi Ryan,

It looks very much like Hipermax Compact. I’ve never known of a set of these in the UK before. Just to add to the complications there are two different versions of Compact. We have C Compact and S Compact. If we presume that you vehicle has been manufactured between ~99 and ~05 I can only presume that it will be one of the two kits. S Compact is the sportier version of the two.

Make sure you give your man you engine code, it will be either 1SZ-FE, 1NZ-FE or 2SZ-FE. Make sure you include the year as well.

Best regards,

Gary Finney

Got them off SuperRetard on the site (who never ever sent the spanners :ffs:) who got them off of egay! I'll probably just tell Kev to get me a price on the S Compact struts and if they're reasonably priced I'll buy two! If not, I'm selling them like they are, someone with a T-Sport may want them as the only things that don't fit on a T-Sport are the rear struts!
