Mounting 2002 Gen 7 16" Wheels On A Gen 6

Hi guys,

I've just spotted some 16" wheels going on eBay taken from a 2002 Gen 7 (hence the clever title) and I was wondering will they fit on a later model (1997) Gen 6?

I'm sure the answer is yes, but I've got one of those nagging doubts in the back of my mind that wont go away!

Can someone put my paranoia to rest for me?

They should fit with no probs as the wheel fitment 5x100 is the same for both generations.

should look good, i think there are already a few gen 6 celicas with the 5 spokes from the gen 7.

You need to consider offset and centre spigot size as well as stud pattern.

But yes, the gen 7 alloys will fit the gen 6 (not sure if they clear GT4 calipers though ), and the gen 5 - a la my avatar. :)

No, I took them to a local powder coating place. Dipped, blasted, and powder coated in any colour you like for £120.

Hi mate,

this is a bit cheeky, but I've also got the same gen 7 5 spoke wheels for sale on e-bay at the minute.

I have a set of 5 with full set of nuts, locking set, centre caps, Goodyear Eagle F1's on 2, Yokohama on 2, and a budget high performance tyre on the spare.

All tyres are excellent (spare done about 200 miles) and 4 of the wheels are basically as new.

If they fit - definitely worth checking out (e-bay item number 8053456834)
