Handbrake Warning Light

I 'gave it some beans' the other night and the handbrake light came on for a few seconds, does anyone know what can cause this. As a precaution I've checked the error codes and nothing is being highlighted.

I imagine it may be the handbrake sensor but I dont know if there is anything else that can cause this, its now happened a couple of times - seems to come on under boost and go out when I lay off the right peddle.

Check your pads for wear, and your fluid level .. I think running low on either can bring up the light.

The pads seem fine - I've had the wheels off last week trying to find out what that nasty clunky knocking from the front is.................(=more bl@@dy money :) , plus the drivers side cv gaitor is bust - grease all over the place)

and checked the pads at the same time. I'll try the fluid level again as well (intercooler seems fine checked that the other day)
