Hiya, im new to this forum, i recently bought a st183 celica gt-r can anyone tell me the difference between the gtr and the normal gt. Is the gtr restricted as it came from japan because i know they like to restrict their bikes is there anything i can do to de-restrict it if it is. Also sum git has already hit my new car and being the world that it is drove off does anyone know where i can get a orange side light as all the uk cars seem to have clear ones.

Thanks very much

Hi and welcome to the forum.

The GTR is a 4 wheel steer version of the normal GTi. Available in Automatic but possibly manual too....although have yet to see one.

All japanese imports are restricted to 112mph but this is very simple to remove. There are derestriction chips on eBay and sva websites.

The car will have either a 3sfe engine or 3sge engine.

The fe is the economy version with 128bhp, the ge has 158bhp (both figures approximate).

Best place to get parts is from any Toyota Dealer or from www.tcbparts.co.uk

If you join this forum (Bronse, Silver or Gold Membership) then you will recieve a 10-15% discount off all parts and labour at any Toyota Dealer around the country

All the best

I changed my front indicators and side reapeters to clear  from orange (so not good to have orange) and got them of eBay.

My car is/was resticted, I bought a chip from eBay but never fitted it :P B)

But TCB is the best place to get bits for your car if you dont want to use e bay.
