Dashboard Warning Light Help

Dear All,

Have happily owned a 2002 RAV4 vx for 4 years now and as it approachs the 50,00 miles mark the engine "block" warning light has lit up on the dashboard. Can anyone tell me is it the car telling me that its time for a service or is there major challenge on its way.

The reason I ask is when I first had the car the light came on when I had a leaking sunroof which Toyota ultimatley relplaced under warranty. (seems a blocked sunroof drain had caused the electrical panel in the drivers side footwell to retian moisture and freak the contacts out)

If anyones got any ideas I'd welcome the help.

Thanks

PS: if your looking for a decent off road tyre to transform the car and make it useable off-road try the following: Yokohama Geotrans AT or if your into "bling" try the following wheel/rim and tyre size: 20x8.5 + 245/40/20

Xel Firstly Welcome to TOC :thumbsup:

The engine block light means you need to take the car to Toyota so they can plug it into there computer (or a garage who has the software for Toyota cars)

This will then diagnose the fault code and thus the area where the problem may be..... Unfortunatly there is no other way of finding this out.....
