Easy answer to that one Toyota in Japan sell the RAV4 through two different Toyota Sales Channels. One is called "Toyota Netz" (That's the funny Badge one you are talking about) and sold as the RAV4 J model range the other sales channel is called "Toyota Corolla" sales channel (RAV4 has normal Toyota Badge on it) and is sold as RAV4 L model range.

The JDM RAV4's in Japan have always had a RAV4 L and J models and they simply sold through dfferent sales channels though they often can have different trim levels and as you have seen here a different front Badge.
