hi guys,

I have recently bought a 1989 Toyota Starlet mk2, its in good condition for its age and runs beautifully.

Its sat on my drive and i keep looking at it and its got so much potential.

wat do you all think? wat sort of mods (performance and looks) could be done?

I have lack of funds at the mo but have begun thinking of ideas for future reference when i do.

cheers

Don't mean to sound funny, but I'd call that a mk4 rather than 2. ;)

Not sure how many performance mod's are available for those, unless you go the turbo route. But if its difficult & different-all the more reason to do it!

Looks a nice tidy car though. Wecome to the forum

Looks very tidy!

As for performance mods, i dont think theres going to be much you can do, best bet would be to buy a quicker car to start with, ie Starlet GT Turbo :D

You could try and drop a 4E-FTE into it, but im not sure how easy it would be, i take it you have a 2E series engine in it now?

It would definately be different though! major wolf in sheeps clothing

Sorry, but mk1-1978-79, mk2 79-81, mk3 81-84. 1st three marls were all RWD, then moved onto FWD end of 84-mk4.

I have a mk2 & 3 & want a mk1, but just can't find them!
