Hiya all :)

I've had my new Red Aygo since the middle of February, and it's brilliant!!! :D

But..... a spinal condition that I've had for years has got much worse, and I'm having difficulty turning my head or twisting my back; which, as you can imagine, doesn't make driving easy or safe :(

There's only 125 miles on the clock, and it is still absolutely perfect!

I paid £6,745 for it.

Seeing that the Aygos are like gold-dust to get hold of second-hand at the moment, what do you think I might be able to get for it? Even at £6,000 I'd be losing £745 for 125 miles :(

What's your opinion on my chances?

Is there anyone out there who would be interested in an absolute bargain?? :)

Cheers,

Raggy :)

shouldnt you try and find another solution instead of selling your aygo? i know the seats dont help your back but you could buy a good back support that would releave a bit your back and you could still enjoy your aygo!

You can probably get more than that as the lowest price on Autotrader is £6381. Not sure what spec yours is but considering it is a new car it hasn't really lost that much since coming out of the showroom.

Thanks everyone.

I really don't want to have to part with the Aygo, but it's not so much the seats being a problem, as me not being to be able to turn my head or back much for reversing :(

what about going back to your dealer. if you explain your circumstances they might buy it back for demo use or something.

if all else fails eBay could work for you.

but sorry to hear you are having to part with it. hope your back doesn't get any worse for you in near future.

take care

I had back and neck pain after car accident but it got better over time (although I still have problems), but I can completely understand your predicament....

Can the sort of condition you have be made any better by any sort of therapy?

You're more or less guaranteed to lose at least the VAT on any new car as soon as you drive it off the forecourt, but maybe some alternative forms of therapy, such as accupunture or maybe even massage will help?

It'll be sad to part with your little car after such a short space of time.... :(

I've seen a Carbon Quartz Aygo in that very Town (I work there), one of the 2 Carbon Quartz ones I've ever seen aswell.

Anyway that was off-topic ;) shame to see you have to part with your Aygo Raggyroller - I'd love to have been able to do such a small amount of mileage in the same amount of time you have aswell.

Good luck with the sale.

under normal circumstances, cars will lose around 10% the moment they go from new to used...

but with Aygo still being pretty new, you may find you can get a reasonable return, as long as its a desirable spec and there is a wait for delvieries

Unfortunately it's a problem that's progressed over many years, and now I have spinal stenosis in my neck and lower back that can only be sorted with surgery.... which is well dodgy; so I'm not too keen on that idea at the moment, although I'm on a waiting list.

The strange thing is..... that although my back mobility makes car-driving difficult, I can manage ok on a quad (road-legal), because seeing behind is easy through long-stalk mirrors, and to look behind before setting off, only involves sliding round slightly on the saddle.

But it's not as comfy as the car; especially in winter conditions :crybaby:

Thanks for all the helpful comments.

Cheers,

Raggy :)
