Spare Wheel Lock

I have a metal lockable spare wheel cover, which is a Toyota fitted part. The lock has jamed, can a new lock?barrel be obtained from somewhere?

I have asked my local Toyota garage and they say not, I have to buy the whole wheel cover which would cost over £200, which is a bit steep just for a jammed lock on a spare tyre.

Anyone out there had the same problem?

Sorry to say i can't offer much advice, but i would guess its spend up time at Toyota , or buy an aftermarket one.

Spray some WD40 in the lock and leave it over night, it may help .

Don't understand this -on mine there is a hole to fit a small padlock -if the padlock rusts up, it could be cut off with a bolt cropper. Which Toyota part are you talking about?
