I have a toyota estima kreg and have recently changed the stereo.

I have managed to get the stereo to power up using the toyota wiring harness, but there is no sound coming out of the Speakers.

Some have said it has a seperate amplifier which could stop the Speakers working

however when the stereo was wired up using a different wiring harness the Speakers worked , but the motor had starting trouble. The garage said this was due to the stereo so they disconnected it and told me to get the proper wiring harness.

So that is what I did which cured the starting trouble but left me with no sound from my stereo.

Could any body tell me if the speakers go into a main wiring loom and if so where is it?

or where the speaker wires run?

because all I might do if I cannot get the speakers work

is to break into the speaker wire nearest point to the stereo that I can get them working from

and wire them up myself,

the only trouble is the wires go from behind your stereo and then seem to vanish

can any one help? thanks Mark

check the harness and make sure allthe pins are connected if you used a previa harness the alignment is different so the Speakers will not get the power.if youn give Halfords the chassis no they can order a correct one about £12=.thats how i solved mine when i installed a new head unit dumping the stock item
