Heres a few pics of my Ex-Demo Aygo which i picked up on the day of launch. I was pretty pleased to get mine the day the car was released, and even more pleased when I found I'd got free air con and carpets into the deal (what with it being their showroom model). In fact, the one on their forecourt was exactly the spec i wanted, bar the air con which they threw in and had less than 20 miles on the clock. perfect!

Dunno if anyone else found this, but i wasnt taken especially seriously when buying mine (compared to some of the other cars I've bought from main dealers), I had to chase up details right until delivery and never felt particularly valued, perhaps as i was buying the smallest thing in the place. Also, the salesman repeatedly taking the ***** out of my old car which i was trading in was a little unprofessional : would they have done the same if i was buying a Celica or Land Cruiser? That said, the sales guy seemed nice enough, just a little over eager to push the 'yoof' aspect maybe.

All that said, the Aygo is my favourite toy and has been for monthes :D

Nice!! :)

Did you get a decent amount off the new price?

Posted

Not a penny. Well, £25 part exchange for the car i traded in, and the air con and mats. Think i shoulda got something off then? Bit late now, but it'd be interesting to know...

I suppose it'd depend on how many miles were put on it during test drives, really.

But I would've thought there'd have been some discount for 'slightly used'.

Then again, the air-con was probably in lieu of discount; and that's worth quite a few £'s :)

did the stickers ruin the paint job in any way?

Raggy : no miles were put on it for test drives i dont think, there was a blue 5 door model for that. This one was just sat on the forcourt and had 8 miles on the clock or something...

BadBoy, the stickers didnt seem to affect it at all, they did a good job of removing them. they scratched the dash and pulled a litttle chunk of it out somehow, but thats another story...

Aww those stickers look great - should've kept them on....:lol:

Lovely looking little car though - with or without the funky stickers.... ;)

ah i bought my aygo sport as ex display model too, same spec as yours except i got tom tom thrown in free as it already had air con.

but yeh the lookers dealers in chelmsford were totally ****, i mean when we enquired about buying it they couldn't get enough of us, but it came to closing the deal and hand over they were useless, they lost half our paperwork, didn't even clean the dew that was on the car from the early morning we had use what tissues we had to clean it. was actually a joke. am so tempted just to get my car serviced and stuff elsewhere like in bishops stortford or braintree.

Sounds like a good deal you got there! Great little car you've got

When I got my Yaris Blue it was a pre-reg and I didnt feel very "valued" either, they didnt call when they said they would and lied to me about the air-con installation. It was a Lookers dealership too, servicing wasnt that great either.

i have had a great buying experience. from phone call and to delivery. The only time i actually went to the dealer i bought the car from was when i put my final order in and paid the deposit. I test drove it at a differnt dealership, though they weren't pleased lol.
