Has anyone else noticed their tap water has gone a funny colour????????

Ours is comming out looking with some kind od white fog in it? It is really quite grim!!!

I was wondering if it was a local water supply issue, of very localised pipe issues!!!!

Just wonder ing if it was only us :crybaby:

I need to do a water change on the fish tanks, and there is no way I am putting that stuff in!!!!!

we get 'cloudy' water sometimes here, its actually lots of tiny bubbles... Starts out looking almost like milk though!

Leave it to stand for half an hour or so and it all disappears, or just run the tap for a while.

We had that a while back.

Turned out it was a cracked pipe in the area, and it's lots of air in the water. ;)

We get wildly varying pressure. When it's really high (enough that we had to buy a regulator to avoid bu**erring up the boiler) we get milky water and it is, just as FlatPack said, lots of tiny bubbles. Looks vile but it's fine. Or it could be the additives, like flouride... I don't see the point in that though... What's wrong with just leaving it as plain old water? I have flouride in my toothpaste ta very much.

Yeah, you may have good water .. but it's "oop Narth" and full of Northerners ;)

Took me long enough to learn one language, without having to learn yours as well.

Yup it turns out that it is actually bubbles.....

As thames water totally failed to fix three leaks in the park we live in, we had to get them fixed ourself.....

Apparently the bubbles are commin when there are pipe leaks/maintenance......

A real PITA for doing coolant flushes :ffs:
