Idle Trouble

Hi. My st205 gt4 import has a weird idle problem. It idles ok at 700rpm, then it will jump to 950-1000, and you can here a slight hissing noise fron the engine bay somewhere.

It will sit at 950-1000 with the hissing noise for about 10 secs then return to normal and the noise disapears. This happens every 20-30 secs.

There doesn't appear to be anything detrimental to the car wise (the boost gauge still rises correctly), not really sure if performance is effected, cos not really nailed it recently.

There are no ecu indications

Air Con/Climate control cutting in and out. The tickover will speed up as power is drawn for the aircon.

sounds like you've got a split vacume pipe, search the engine bay to try and find the hissing pipe and replace it, should hopefully be that simple

Yeh, found out it is the air con pump, making it do it.

!Removed! car. Its my first jap car, and there are so many weird things to figure out.
