What Bike Rack For Yaris With Spoiler?

Hello all,

I had a Corolla but had to change to a Yaris to save pennies

Anyhow...

I have a Thule bike rack that I cannot use as my Yaris has a spoiler, now the crunch is:

A: Buy a new bike rack that will work with the spoiler (if so, which one?)

or

B: Lose the spoiler, not that fussed about it tbh. How much would my toyota garage charge to take it off?

Need to get more mobile to take my 2 wheeled temptress further afield!

With the spoiler your only option is to have a tow bar fitted and go for a tow ball mounted rack.

Or could go roof mounted, using roof bars and the appropriate holder.

I think removing the spoiler may leave marks of some kind, unsure on that point though.

Hey, sorry, just read this.

Me and my mate go mountain biking loads, what I usually do, in the old Micra and my Yaris now is just fold the rear seats down, put some old sheets down, take off the wheels (with quick release you have no excuse!) and just put the frame in, flat, with wheels folded on top!

Its a pain, but it works well, as for mud and dirt - just give your bike a good shake and hose down before you take it home, and make sure your boot is well covered!

I have just tried my rack on my yaris TS and it works just fine.

It is a 4 bike Hollywood rack, it was a bit more expensive than some others but it fits with the spoiler no problem,

it is the first time i have fitted it to my TS thats why it took me so long to reply, hope its not too late.
