There's a humungous difference between French cars & Japanese cars built in France though so I wouldn't let it put you off buying a French-made Toyota

Heavens no!

My Yaris is a wonderful little machine and theres no truth whatsoever in the fact that Japanese built ones are better than French built :thumbsup:

Its still a Toyota! :yes:

is there any website that says where the cars and/or its models are built?

and "ryan1985" how do you know that your yaris was built in france(i mean does it say somewhere on the car?)?

Check the chassis number on the cars.

JT1 = Jap Built

VNK = French Built

You can tell the jap ones when using the seat sliding mechanism, as they aren't jerky like the french ones, and same with little touches like the heater dials.

Strange but true. :blink:

there was a debate about this on sxoc, the 350z lump is designed by nissan, but built by renault so not as bad as it seems

LOL .. it's like having a car styled by Pinfarina and built by monkeys .. it's still bad ..
