Hi Guys -

As per previous posts with updates with the main dealer - the Celica's head failed the crack test, engine had cooked too much to repair - topok them 3 months to tell me, so now im a few hundred owing to them for the privalidge!

The aged old Astra is now to be sold, and the car has been replaced by a MSD Vectra SuperTouring, so that should keep me happy for a while.

If anyone wants a Celica 6 with a head problem for £300 then let me know.

'94 L - 170,000 - Tax MOT, Green colour, St202, UK edition, Manual.

Will be sad to see her go, but I will own another one, just couldnt find a nice enough one to replace her on the trader.

Pics attached.

Thanks for your comments about the Vectra!

I wasnt going to get another Vauxhall - but a friend at work gave me the details of this one and I had to have a look... then it ended up outside my house.

It's not as fast as the Celica, and it feels very different to drive, but its nice to have aircon and traction control.

Thing is, the celica handled so well that traction control wasnt really needed...

I went to the dealer today to pay some money for the work done to the Celly... emptied her out ready for a tow next weekend. They are going to put the head in the boot.

He said that its cracked in 3 places, and the parts to fix cost around £450... I was tempted but have the vectra now, so I'll pop a for sale post up tommorow...

Thanks again guys!!
