Previa Low Rev Noise

Hi guys, My 02 plate previa ia making a whiring noise when hovering around 2000 revs which then goes. Any ideas? If i move of from a stop position slowly you can clearly hear it and when driving, if i let go of the accelerator and press again i can hear a slight whir? all help appreciated and its a 2.4 cdx auto. cheers!
