Getting A Spare Key.....

Ok, so when I bought my car a few years ago I only got one key with it. The master key (as far as I know).

Obviously after 15years of use it's a bit worn, so I thought it was about time I got myself a new one.

Went to a key cutting place today and the chap cut a key.... didn't work .... played with it again... didn't work. Tried another blank key... didn't work!?!?! ARGH!!

Anyone know how to go about getting a new key?? The "master" key has a 5 digit code on it... JM*** .

Can this be used to get a new key???

I don't want to go out and buy a new barrel etc with new keys.

you should be able to give the code to MrT and he'll get you a new key ..

Yup, toyota should do it, although most dealerships will ask to see your log book too!!!!

Any timpsons should be able to do it.

Toyota will do a blank for you by mail order if you give them that code over the phone with your chassis number. No need to take your key in to them to do it :)
